Job description

Our client is working to solve the fundamental power challenges in the mobile communications industry based on ground-breaking research by two professors at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Today’s smartphones, wearables, and IoT devices are highly energy inefficient and typically waste most of the power consumed as heat. Our clients’ game-changing Digital Envelope Tracking Technology dramatically reduces energy consumption to significantly extend the battery life of all wireless communication devices. Unlike legacy analog envelope tracking technologies, Digital Envelope Tracking Technology supports new gigabit communication standards for 5G-NR, 5G-mmWave, and WiFi.

The PMIC AMS Verification Engineer is a member of the PMIC design team focused on analog mixed-signal modeling of circuit blocks and running verification simulations throughout the design and validation phases.  An ideal candidate would have long experience with AMS verification of power management circuits. The successful candidate must have at least limited exposure to analog mixed-signal modeling, be familiar with common analog circuits, and be highly motivated to develop AMS verification expertise.

  • Work together closely with an IC design team
  • Create and maintain AMS models and verification benches for IC blocks
  • Create and maintain system-level AMS simulations
  • Write scripts to aid in verification, especially using Verilog, Matlab, python, etc.
  • Opportunities for growth and mentoring with the right candidate

  • BSEE or MSEE, with at minimum internship experience in AMS verification for analog ICs
  • Highly desirable: 2+ years AMS verification experience and/or IC design experience
  • Solid understanding of verification methodologies
  • Familiar with basic analog circuits e.g. oscillator, LDO, bandgap, current mirror
  • Highly desirable: experience with power management circuits
