Business Development Manager based in the Oman, Dubai, Saudi Arabia and other Middle East Region


Our client’s new EV Charger Business Unit builds on their 50-year legacy of innovation in the Power Electronics industry. Founded in Taiwan in 1972, our client rapidly grew to become an international powerhouse in the industry and, today, they generate over $420m in sales and have 6000 employees.

This new business unit represents the next evolution of our client as they work to develop the infrastructure that will usher in the Age of Electric Vehicles.

Headquartered in Amsterdam and with manufacturing in Taiwan, the Business Unit is offering both ACDC and DCDC charging solutions and has established relationships with the major EV manufacturers of both commercial and personal vehicles and the Charge Point Operators (CPOs) and are supported by a network of Business and Service Partners across the EMEA region.


Reporting to the Vice President Business Development, you are tasked with winning new business and growing existing accounts.

The sales organisation is targeting 5 key verticals – Charge Point Operators (CPOs), Mobility Service Providers (MSPs), Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), Fleet and Local Government – and responsibilities are structured by region.

You will be responsible for all the target verticals in the Middle East.

You are in total control of your region: managing existing accounts, identifying new potential customers/projects, collaborating with Inside Sales on written proposals, signing off on written proposals, preparing sales presentations, working with local partner companies in your region, and for the generation of quarterly rolling orders forecasts.

You will be supported administratively by their Internal Sales Team during the Bid and Tender processes and technical support will be provided by their Field Applications Team; both over the phone and, in person, during on-site customer visits.

The role will be home-based and you will be required to travel frequently inside your region for customer visits. Though much of the work can be accomplished with day trips, over-night trips will form a component of the work.

Extensive training will be provided by our client for you to develop your skills and knowledge inside the fast-growing EV industry.


  • Responsible for developing and growing his/her own business in EV Chargers Guiding and advising the company on the new business area and what products need to be added and developed in the portfolio
  • Possibly works 2-3 days per week in the field, visiting customers, progressing sales inquiries, servicing existing customers
  • The remaining time is spent dealing with all actions arising from such visits, planning future visits, managing projects, and forecasting
  • Works with technical personnel to ensure prototype models are assembled according to design specification for customer-specific requirements
  • Supports manufacturing department on newly released products


Travel in the business area of Middle East & EMEA is required

  • 3+ years of sales experience in a related industry is required Demonstrated successful track record is required
  • Engineering degree or relevant technical qualification is advantageous Occasional travel to Asia may be required during the initial 3-month product immersive training and afterwards
  • English is required, other languages are advantageous
  • Presentable, articulate, numerate, and literate (handwriting and computer)
