Our client’s new EV Charger Business Unit builds on their 50-year legacy of innovation in the Power Electronics industry. Founded in Taiwan in 1972, our client rapidly grew to become an international powerhouse in the industry and, today, they generate over $420m in sales and have 6000 employees.
This new business unit represents the next evolution of our client as they work to develop the infrastructure that will usher in the Age of Electric Vehicles.
Headquartered in Amsterdam and with manufacturing in Taiwan, the Business Unit is offering both ACDC and DCDC charging solutions and has established relationships with the major EV manufacturers of both commercial and personal vehicles and the Charge Point Operators (CPOs) and are supported by a network of Business and Service Partners across the EMEA region.

Overview of the Role

Reporting to the Head of Operations. This position has the potential to be hybrid and with the right person in place, the role will grow and develop over time.
A high-impact role based in Amsterdam that is crucial to the Business Unit’s success as they scale their operations. As Marketing Manager, you will be directly responsible for managing the brand with their clients, and internally, taking a strategic approach to conducting customer, price, market and competitor analysis to hone their service offering and identify Customer Profiles.
You will work closely with our client’s Business Development Team to define the Go-To-Market Strategy and their Unique Value Proposition to communicate and engage with Customer Profiles and you will travel, from time to time, with the Managing Director and the Business Development Team to attend conferences and marketing events as well as expositions where you will be heavily involved in the operations.
In this role, you will be responsible for copywriting and will be supported by a web developer from headquarters to manage the website and to produce marketing material.

Core Responsibilities:

Brand Management
  • Management of our client’s website using HotJar, Google Analytics, and other tools
  • Management of our client’s Social Media using HootSuite and Paiger
  • Management of our client’s eNewsletter to candidates and clients using MailChimp
  • Work with Subject Matter Experts to develop white papers, blog posts, videos, and podcasts
  • Partner with Public Relations companies to raise the profile of our client in the media
Market, Customer, and Price Analysis
  • Define Customer Profiles, Go-To-Market strategy and Optimum Price
  • Identify MarComms channels with highest ROI
  • Create Marketing Material to support the Business Development Team for pitches
Management Responsibilities
  • Coordination with web developer
  • Budgeting of marketing spend
  • As our client scales, they will continue to build their in-house capabilities inside the Marketing Team

RequirementsBrand Management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including editing skills (written samples will be required)
  • Experience using MailChimp or similar tools
  • Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels
  • Experience with SEO, SEM and UX for websites
Market Analysis
  • Track record of consistently increasing revenue in a strategic level B2B marketing role, preferably in the electronics or electrical industries
  • 3+ years of experience in roles such as business strategy, product marketing, or marketing where you have conducted market, customer, and price analysis
  • Experience developing marketing strategies using quantitative and qualitative insights
