Overview

Our client is a leading UK manufacturer of generators and UPS equipment with a strong brand presence that has been built over 30 years. They have seen significant growth and are expanding their operations. They are looking for an experienced sales manager to help their company grow more. We will accept applications from candidates across the electronic industries. Working from home 3 days a week with flexi-hours.

Key Tasks

• To support and develop relationships with our existing reseller, electrical contractor and end user channels in order to grow sales performance.
• To develop new relationships with potential resellers, electrical contractors and end users in order to grow sales performance.
• To qualify and prepare technical quotes for Uninterruptible Power Supplies, Generators, associated equipment and installation works in a timely and efficient manner using standardised templates where required.
• Interpret technical specification documents to identify suitable product requirements.
• Monitor Project progression.
• To develop excellent customer and supplier relationships in order to grow sales performance.
• To identify and meet customer and supplier requirements and to build and manage own customer and supplier base.
• To ensure that all customer enquiries, problems, information and complaints are dealt with in a timely, professional and competent manner with a positive outcome achieved at all times.
• To assist the company in achieving sales targets throughout the year.
• To possess and display the company’s key values of trust, respect, commitment, motivation, integrity, honesty, ownership, conscientiousness, respectful, committed, hard-working, loyal and fun to all internal and external customers.

Key ‘on the job’ activities

• Respond to and follow up on new business opportunities using appropriate methods.
• To generate and forward all quotations to the relevant customer within agreed timeframes.
• To process all orders obtained and make relevant amendments as and when required.
• To generate ‘pre-sale’ work order templates and relevant documentation.
• Use customer and prospect contact activity tools and systems, and update relevant information held in the CRM system. CRM to be updated on a daily basis, including all communications with customer.
• Communicate, liaise and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships.
• To generate accurate sales forecasts for weekly sales meetings.
