OVERVIEW 
Our client is an EV Charger Business Unit builds on our 50-year legacy of innovation in the Power Electronics industry. Founded in Taiwan in 1972, the business rapidly grew to become an international powerhouse in the industry and, today, they generate over $420m in sales and have 6000 employees. This new business unit represents the next evolution as they work to develop the infrastructure that will usher in the Age of Electric Vehicles. Headquartered in Amsterdam and with manufacturing in Taiwan, the Business Unit is offering both ACDC and DCDC charging solutions and has established relationships with the major EV manufacturers of both commercial and personal vehicles and the Charge Point Operators (CPOs) and are supported by a network of Business and Service Partners across the EMEA region.

JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Service Team Manager, this role is at the centre of operational strategy, and you will be a crucial link between Sales and R&D functions, the customers, and the Business and Service Partners that the business supports Your technical knowledge will be used to assist in the troubleshooting, diagnostics, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs of EV Charger installations – both at the hardware and firmware level – and you will be the Technical Expert during sales presentations and the Design-In process. The role will be home-based, and you will be required to support the customers and sales team both over the phone and with on-site visits across Europe. Though much of the work can be accomplished with day trips, over-night trips will form a component of the work. Extensive training will be provided for you to develop your skills and knowledge inside the fast-growing EV industry.

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES INCLUDE
• Assisting Sales with pre-sale Technical Support.
• On site after sale installation & testing where required.
• On site diagnostics of existing installation for repair or upgrades.
• Training of customer/partners service teams.
• General service & upgrade of charging equipment where necessary.
• Conducting vehicle interoperability tests.
• Liaison with Taiwan team to organise software protocol testing and firmware upgrades for customer equipment
• Working with R&D and Sales to find the right solution for the customer and meet his technical and commercial objectives
• Feedback to R&D and Marketing product needs for future development as defined by the customer base
• Commitment to Warranty / RMA policy
• Position reports to Service Team Manager
• Travel in the business area of EMEA is an essential part of the job
• Occasional travel to Asia may be required during the initial 3-month product immersive training and afterwards

 EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• Engineering degree or relevant technical qualification would be advantageous; work experience in an engineering environment is advantageous.
• Electrician Licence enabling rid work would be needed, training is available.
• English is required, other EU languages and Mandarin are advantageous.
