“Hunter “– Business Development Manager for Power Supplies
Our client is a component and power supply distributor
Based in Cambridgeshire, the Company is part of an €85,000,000 German public limited organisation with exciting aspirations of increasing their UK presence through design in of our blue chip brands including Cosel, Cincon, Artesyn, Autronic and Meanwell.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, this permanent, full-time position is for a “Hunter”, Business Development Manager to actively identify and target any accounts with potential power supply requirement. The goal, to design-in and register solutions at the start of projects resulting in repeat business throughout the project life.
The successful applicant should be an established BDM in the UK power market with a reasonably sound technical knowledge
Responsibilities
- Main point of contact for the UK customers across industry sectors
- Providing basic technical expertise in order to inform and direct the customer to a suitable solution for their application.
- Identify, establish and develop new customers/projects for the business.
- Liaising and interacting with the technical and commercial support team in Germany.
- Providing input and direction for marketing activities including trade shows and promotion.
- Sales forecasting
- Project management
Requirements
- Min 3-5 years of sales experience in the UK power supply/power conversion industry.
- Good understanding and knowledge of the UK AC/DC power supply and DC/DC converter market.
- Ability to communicate at a basic technical level with design engineers
- Good problem solver
- Team player with a hunger to develop the business from zero
